It's February 14th. Almost over. Baseball Pitchers and Catchers report in about a week or two. Spring is within sight. We're very lucky here in Central New Jersey. We have not had a major snow event this winter.
Viruses
I had a client who's PC contracted a nasty virus from an email. The subject was FEDEX Delivery Notice. Now think! If you are not expecting a package here is the recommended thing to do. Delete the message. And then go to the Fedex site yourself and check for deliveries. The key issue here is are you expecting a package from Fedex, UPS, USPS, etc. If the answer is no, then delete the message. And for God's sake even if you do open the suspect email, DO NOT click on any links in it. Those link(s) could very well cause malicious programs to execute and potentially destroy your files. This can be a costly mistake that may cause you to lose all your pictures, documents, spreadsheets and more. Make sure your anti-virus and firewall programs are installed, running, and up to date!! And of course MAKE backups. There are several programs and web based backup services available to help. There is an old saying in aviation about things that do you no good: The runway behind you and the altitude above you. Add to that the backups you did not make.
Hang in there NJ, only about 6 more weeks to do.
Peace,
Dave
